Incognito

What does Google mean by Incognito?

Google Chrome has a new feature called "Incognito". This feature simply allows you to surf the web without recording information to your local computer, such as history.

Web browsers keep history and cache to make browsing easier. If you have visited a site recently, you often want the ability to re-find that site in your history bar. On occasion you may not want other people to know that you have visited a site. Google suggests that you may not want others to know when you plan surprises or birthdays. Google Incognito Help This feature can be used to hide your history for anything that you wish. Basically Google is just not storing the data on your local computer. If the company itself stores cookies Google will not make any changes to this.

To implement the Incognito feature simply use the "Ctrl+Shift+N" shortcut keys and you will have a new window which does not report browser history.

I have to admit I like the little spy guy in the upper left hand corner of the browser window.
